Objective: Curate a library of go-to activities that decrease your prep time and increase student engagement.
First, revisit your routine from module 1. Was it temporal or curricular? Was there a clear beginning, middle, and end?
Next, look back at the activities from modules 2 and 3 that you determined were a good fit for your classroom.
Now, determine how you will be able to use those activities at the beginning, middle, or end of your routine.
Take the following into consideration:
Will these add more to my plate or replace something that is less effective?
Are these activities that can be reused without having to rewrite them?
Do students have ownership of the learning?
Can meaningful feedback be provided quickly?
